Does Ammo Box store my data in the cloud?
No. Your inventory, range sessions, and usage data are stored only on your device. The only network call the app makes is to look up product details when you scan a barcode — nothing about your inventory or personal identity is ever sent anywhere.
Do I need to create an account?
No account, no email, no sign-up. Ammo Box doesn't ask for any personal information — that's part of the point.
How does barcode scanning work?
Point your camera at a box's barcode and Ammo Box automatically fills in the caliber, brand, bullet type, and round count. If a product isn't recognized, you can enter the details manually once and it's remembered for next time.
What is the Ammo Detector?
It's an AI-powered feature that counts rounds for you — point your camera at an open tray of ammo and it counts each round automatically, instead of you counting by hand.
Can I get warned before I run out of a caliber?
Yes — set a low-stock threshold per caliber and Ammo Box will flag it in your inventory once you drop to or below that count.
Can I export my data?
Yes. Export your inventory, range sessions, and logs as PDF or CSV any time, including a full backup of everything at once. If you use storage locations, you can export just one location.
Can I organize my ammo by where I keep it?
Yes. Create storage locations like Gun Safe or Range Bag, then filter your inventory by location, move boxes between them, and add a whole location to a range session in one step. The All view always shows everything.
Can I turn features off?
Yes. Tap AMMOBOX in the top left to open Settings. You can turn storage locations, low-stock alerts, and suggestions on or off, change your theme, and manage your subscription. Turning a feature off only hides it. Your data is kept.
What platforms does Ammo Box support?
Ammo Box is available for both iOS and Android.
Can I cancel my subscription?
Yes, anytime, directly through the App Store or Google Play. If you'd rather not subscribe at all, the lifetime option is a one-time payment with no recurring cost.
